Clarus®, from American HealthNet provides a paperless, completely integrated EMR using Windows technology.

Unlike other vendors that claim to be integrated but have interfaces running between applications, Clarus® provides a true integrated system with over thirty applications. Other vendors that have interfaces between applications, can’t provide instantaneous data to all care providers as care is provided. With interfaces, some data may be updated minutes or hours later.

Clarus® is also a paperless system which means all information on the patient is available online. Paper documents are not used in addition to the EMR. Forms signed by the patient are available electronically as well as documents provided by the patient.

Clarus® uses 100% Windows technology to deliver an EMR with all of the Windows advantages. Only Windows servers are required unlike systems that use non-Windows databases. Systems that use non-Windows servers require IT staff with knowledge of both Windows and other operations systems which is costly. Clarus® uses standard Windows printing functionality while other systems require additional non-Windows drivers installed through their system.

Clarus® can be installed in phases to reduce the implementation resources required at one time, to spread the cost out and to ease the burden on the staff.

Early in it’s lifecycle, Clarus® is also very flexible and responsive to industry needs. As changes are required or needed, the changes can be made quickly and easily in Clarus®. Many other systems are nearing the obsolescence stage and are much more difficult to change. AHN also listens to users and incorporates many suggested enhancements.
