Overview
Clarus® Implementation follows a structured process driven implementation framework for Effective Deployment.
AHN software implementation methodology evolved through several man-years of software implementation experience. By dividing the entire implementation into a series of self-contained phases, the approach counters scope creep and over engineering that often accompanies conventional implementations. The approach employs the concept of business process modeling to capture and record business requirements. Through a process driven, phased implementation approach, which integrates people, process, policies and procedures, and hardware and software, AHN Implementation methodology translates the promise of a business solution into reality.
Implementation Phases
AHN Implementation Methodology contains following phases:
- Initiation
- Solution Definition
- Technical Services (extension, customization and integration)
- Training
- Roll-out
- Post Implementation Support
After initiating the project, the solution is defined through a series of business process presentations and modeling. Gaps, if any, are identified during this stage. The entire solution is configured in the next phase (technical services). All integration requirements with third party applications and legacy systems are addressed in this phase. The configured solution forms the basis for Roll-out. During Roll-out phase, some of the key activities are legacy data migration and simulated runs of the system.
Benefits
- Total end-user involvement in the implementation process
- Unambiguous definition of end-user requirements (current and future).
- Accurate assessment and complete mitigation of project risks.
- Reduced implementation time with a focus on business process adaptation.
- Faster Return on Investment.
Initiation and Solution Definition
AHN Sales team, Pre-Sales Support team and Implementation team are involved in defining the customer solution. A scope document is prepared which lists the major items included in each Clarus module in a bullet form. This is attached to the contract. At the beginning of the implementation phase an evaluation is done on the business processes at client site and how those processes can be adopted to fit the Clarus product suite and identify any gaps. A BMR (Business Modeling Report) is prepared and submitted to the client for review and signoff. This BMR will form the basis of the Solution offered by AHN.
Each department and their major users are interviewed by AHN implementation specialists in detail and the business processes captured and documented. Each department and main users gets to review the BMR and signoff on it before the actual implementation starts.
